Hi Friends! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know my favorite way to cook salmon is in the air fryer. It gets perfectly crispy on the outside and takes less than 10 minutes—which is honestly the best part. The blackened seasoning I make is super simple and a great way to use up those almost-empty spice jars while doing some spring cleaning. I’ve made a handful of different salmon recipes in my air fryer, but this one is definitely my favorite so far. Topping it with the mango salsa adds the perfect fresh touch—making it a quick, easy, and flavorful summer lunch.

sharp knife & cutting board
small-medium sized mixing bowl

Blackened Salmon with Mango Avocado Salsa
Serves : 2

Ingredients:
2 (6-8 ounce) skin-on salmon filets
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
1 teaspoon coconut sugar
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Non-stick cooking spray
For the mango salsa
1 ripe yellow mango, diced
½ jalapeño, finely diced
½ hass avocado, diced
1 teaspoon finely minced cilantro
1 tsp lime juice
A sprinkle of chili lime seasoning
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Make the mango salsa: In a mixing bowl, combine the diced mango, jalapeño, avocado, cilantro, lime juice, chili lime seasoning, and salt. Gently toss to combine.
Make the seasoning: In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, coconut sugar, and kosher salt.
Season the salmon: Pat the salmon filets dry with a paper towel. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both filets, pressing it in to coat the top and sides well.
Air fry the salmon: Place the salmon skin-side down in the air fryer basket. Spray the top of the salmon with a little more oil and air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and blackened.
Serve: Spoon the mango salsa over the blackened salmon and serve immediately.
